We are officially up and running in Council Bluffs, Iowa! We have some of the best maintenance technicians so it’s only fitting that they have a brand new state of the art facility. We officially opened the doors at our Council Bluffs Maintenance Facility on Monday, June 26, 2017, and we celebrated with a ribbon cutting event on October 18. Our new Council Bluffs location will help ease the workload of our Fremont maintenance team, while securing the services of additional maintenance technicians that live closer to Council Bluffs.
Not only is this huge news for our maintenance team, but it’s great news for our drivers as well! The busiest interchange in the United States for FCC drivers is I-80 and I-29. The new Council Bluffs facility is 1.2 miles from I-80 and only 1.9 miles from I-29, which means driving fewer out-of-route miles and drivers save work hours on their logs. The Council Bluffs Maintenance Facility also gives our drivers another place to park as well as other amenities such as a break room, bathrooms, showers, a laundry room, and more!
The Fremont maintenance staff will still continue to service and repair a high volume of FCC truck and trailer equipment.
