FCC was honored to sponsor and participate in the 2015 Wreaths Across America campaign. This year, FCC proudly donated the resources for three trucks and drivers to deliver wreaths to military cemeteries across the country to honor our fallen veterans in the Truckloads of Respect Program, sponsored by the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA). The TCA reported a record 300 truckloads were required to haul 900,001 wreaths for delivery to 1,100 cemeteries across the United States with a total of 169 volunteer carriers involved in hauling the wreaths. We are extremely proud to have our FCC veteran drivers be a part of this great and humbling experience.

FCC’s Official Rolling Ambassadors included:
Vietnam Army Veteran, Reuben Dupsky, drove in the “Escort to Arlington”. This group of 60 trucks loaded their truckload of wreaths at Worchester Wreath Company in Maine and convoyed down the coast to Arlington VA where they participated in the National Wreath Laying Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday, December 12, 2015. This is the second year that Reuben has had the opportunity to participate in this hallowed event. “People line the roads with flags and cheer and salute wherever the convoy travels,” stated Reuben. “It’s a very emotional event and one that I am proud to be a part of. With the support of the trucking community, especially FCC, all the graves at Arlington were covered. It was an awesome site to see.”

Vietnam Army Veteran, Larry Powell, loaded his FCC Patriotic Trailer with wreaths at Worchester Wreath Company in Maine on December 4th. Larry had the privilege of delivering wreaths to military cemeteries in Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin, with his final destination of wreaths to be delivered to Fremont NE for the local Wreath Laying Ceremony at Ridge Cemetery on December 12th. Larry stated, “I was extremely proud to be able to have the opportunity to deliver wreaths to the military establishments along my route. The people that I met, are now friends that I will not forget. I am honored to be a part of a company that recognizes and respects what our veterans have done for our country. The whole experience offers a deep sense of humility and gratitude.”

Airforce Veteran and independent contractor, Aaron Schreckengost, donated his resources for a second year to Wreaths Across America. Aaron stated, “I volunteered last year for the 1st time and knew then that I would always be a part of this mission. I requested the same route that I had last year, picking up at a cross dock location in IL and delivering to military cemeteries in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. I had the distinct honor of delivering to the smaller cemeteries. The same volunteers greeted me and we had the opportunity to reminisce. It is truly a moving experience.”
