Fremont Contract Carriers, Inc. has raised mileage pay for the third time in 2018.

The move comes during an increasing number of regulatory pressures and a tough economic environment over the past two years. As capacity was plentiful and rate increases hard to come by, FCC continues to raise driver wages on an annual basis. Despite the hurdles, we have experienced a high demand for services, placing us in a position we have not witnessed in some time.

Effective Monday, July 9, 2018, FCC Company Van Drivers will receive a $.01 per mile increase and Flatbed Company Drivers paid by the mile will receive a $.03 per mile increase. In addition, all Independent Contractors will receive a $.02 per mile increase on all hauls. This now totals six cents per mile in the past six months for all loads with a length of haul less than 1,200 miles and four cents per mile for all loads greater than 1,201 miles in length.

There have always and will always be uncertainties in the transportation industry, but one thing will always keep FCC above the competition: we have the best drivers in the industry and strive to keep them satisfied. Our drivers are spearheading this upward trend due to their motivation to serve our customers and safe driving ability, allowing FCC to deliver in a timely manner and saving the company expenses by minimizing accidents. The wage increase gives back to our drivers and puts the money the save FCC back in their pockets.

Unlike many companies who do not give their employee drivers opportunities for wage increases, FCC will continue to adjust compensation levels more than just annually if conditions continue to trend upward. This change will have no effect on a driver’s anniversary date.

This one goes out to the drivers, the face of FCC. We couldn’t succeed without you.
