The primary responsibility for the Technology and Training Coordinator for FCC is to study, train, and assist with all technology aspects for FCC. This will be accomplished through a variety of formats that will encompass the continuing education and development of the work force in the technology and safety arena.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Mobile Communication Vendor to trouble shoot hardware problems
- Will be the first point of contact for our drivers experiencing mobile communication problems to
determine whether it is a hardware problem, software problem or if it is a training issue. Will work
directly with ELD Provider’s customer service to resolve performance issues. - Assist with ELD and peripheral equipment inventory.
- Responsible for vehicle setup in ELD portal and TMS (McLeod)
- Review Navigation and provide feedback thru Portal
- Performance Monitoring unit setup
- Vehicle Data Configurator / Setup engine and connection type.
- Scanning/ training and inventory management.
- Responsible inventory for ELD units and work with department heads on new orders
- Manage RMA’s of ELD units.
- Will be the first point of contact for our drivers experiencing mobile communication problems to
- Driver training
- Responsible for new driver training on all ELD equipment and peripheral devices.
- Assist with Simulator training for all drivers.
- Conduct Safety feature training for new truck assignments
- Responsible for navigation training
- Train and conduct pre/ post trip inspections with all drivers
- Serve as a backup for new hire road tests
- Work with Camera provider
- Trouble shoot hardware problems
- Work with Driver Managers, Drivers and Shop to route to shop for camera issues
- Track inventory and work with Shop, Parts and VP of safety for new orders
- Assist with driver coaching for camera events
- Work with Prepass
- Manage inventory and assigning devices to drivers
- Review fines and work with Prepass to resolve issues
- Troubleshoot and determine if unit is faulty
- Manage inventory for Epicvue – Million Mile Satellites.
- Keep FCC “Smart Way” Certified
- FCC became “Smart Way” certified in 2008 and it requires data on FCC’s carbon footprint to be
submitted annually.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Relevant degree or equivalent work experience in transportation preferred
