You want to know where the best places to eat, shower, do laundry and use the bathroom are. These 10 truck stops will help you feel like you’re right at home with the best food and amenities a trucker could ask for!

1. Shady Lawn Truck Stop

The Shady Lawn “The Big Chicken” Truck Stop is located off exit 6 of I-65 in Tennessee and features a 24-hour restaurant, a truckers lounge, showers, laundry, and plenty of parking. They have raving reviews for their amazing service and food and are considered by many to be the go-to place to stop if it’s on their route. There are many raving reviews about their clean bathrooms as well.

2. Iowa 80

The Iowa 80 Truck Stop is located off exit 284 of I-80 in Walcott, Iowa and is known for being the largest truck stop in the world. The Iowa 80 truck stop offers many different amenities, from a barbershop to a chiropractor. They have a dentist, a pet wash, a driver’s den, a laundry facility, a library, movie theater, private showers, and a gym. Iowa 80 has a large parking space for trucks and even a trucking museum inside!

They have many different options to eat with popular fast-food chains like Wendy’s, Pizza Hut, Caribou Coffee, Taco Bell, DQ, and Chester’s Chicken. Iowa 80 also has a restaurant that sells subs called Blimpie and their very own Iowa 80 Kitchen. Their Iowa 80 Kitchen is a sit-down restaurant with delicious homestyle food.

Fun fact about Iowa 80! They are open 24/7 and haven’t closed their doors one day since they opened in 1964. Make sure to check out the trucking museum while you’re there!

3. Jubitz

The Jubitz Truck Stop and Travel Center is located off I-5 at exit 307 near the Portland International Airport. This truck stop has a restaurant known as Cascade Grill that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They are known for serving up homestyle meals made from scratch. Jubitz also has a movie theater that shows high-quality movies for $6.

Jubitz offers clean and private showers and jacuzzis, a drivers lounge, free WiFi, a 24-hour scale, a truck wash, a driver service convenience store, and a barbershop. There is also a laundromat on-site!

Jubitz also has a deli and a marketplace convenience store. There is also a country-western bar on location with live entertainment every night. There is a hotel on Jubitz property that allows for the option of staying somewhere besides in the cab of your truck as well.

4. Little America

The Little America Hotel and Truck Stop is located on I-80 at Exit 68 in Little America, Wyoming. They have a 24-hour fuel station and convenience store with a travel grill center and laundry facilities. There is a truck repair station on-site and a hotel if you’d like to stay on-site, and they offer $30 off your lodging stay with a $30 fillup. This gives you some time to rest and relax while you’re on your off time on the road.

There are also Little America Locations in Flagstaff, AZ, and Cheyenne, WY, which offer similar amenities.

5. North Forty Truck Stop

The North Forty Truck Stop is located off of I-20 at Exit 126 in Holladay, Tennessee. North Forty offers a full-service 24-hour restaurant. North Forty is known for their respect for truck drivers and their clean facilities. Drivers love their food and how much space there is to park.

6. Dysart’s

Dysart’s is a truck stop and restaurant located off I-95 at Exit 180 in Hermon, Maine. This is a 24-hour truck stop that prides themselves on being family owned and operated since 1967. The restaurant serves traditional food local to the area and offers a full-service fuel station, garages, private showers, internet, and an automated truck/camper wash. 

They have a large well-lit parking lot with plenty of parking space for trucks! They have a truckers lounge and a full-service truck center.

7. Sapp Bros

Sapp Bros is a chain of travel centers with locations in Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, and Utah. They advertise having “Mom-Approved Bathrooms” that are continuously cleaned throughout the day. At select locations, they offer the option to reserve a parking space if you choose to park overnight and a free rewards program for drivers that allows you to earn points that you can spend at the travel center.

Each location has different options for food, and all include options besides fast food. Sapp Bro’s also has a service center for drivers and different specials at each location.

8. Trails

The Trails Travel Plaza is located at the intersection of I-35 and I-90 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. This travel plaza has clean and modern shower facilities, a 4 bay truck service center, a truck wash, a CAT scale, and 300+ truck parking spots!

Trails also has a Woodfire Grill and Tavern, which has excellent reviews and multiple fast food options as well. They have public laundry facilities, a movie theater, and WiFi.

9. Love’s

Love’s has hundreds of locations throughout the United States. They have an amazing rewards program where if you buy enough gas through them, you are able to get free showers or drink refills. Love’s has clean bathrooms and normally has one fast food restaurant. 

There is also truck care located at most locations.

10. Pilot 

Pilot also has hundreds of locations throughout the United States. Pilot offers WiFi subscriptions, paid reserved parking, CAT scales, public laundry, game rooms, clean showers and restrooms, truck washes, and Idle Air services. They have a rewards program that allows you to have extra savings at every Pilot location.

Pilot has a restaurant chain exclusive to them as well as multiple chain restaurants depending on the location.
