Fremont Contract Carriers (FCC) is proud to participate in the Wreaths Across America
campaign to honor the brave men and women who served in the US military. Every year on
National Wreath Laying Day, thousands of Americans gather at cemeteries across the country
to place wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers. This year, FCC is joining the initiative by
transporting wreaths from Worcester, Maine, to Arlington National Cemetery and various
locations in Nebraska, including Fremont. The event is a wonderful opportunity to show our
gratitude to the servicemen and women who have sacrificed so much for our nation.

The Wreaths Across America campaign started in 1992 when a Maine wreath-maker donated
5,000 wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery. Since then, the initiative has grown into a
national event that involves hundreds of thousands of volunteers and donors. The mission of the
campaign is to “Remember, Honor, and Teach” by laying wreaths on veterans’ graves,
educating the public about the sacrifices made by our military, and encouraging young citizens
to get involved in their communities. The event takes place every December, on the third
Saturday of the month, the same day across America as the National Wreath Laying Day.

FCC is proud to be part of this noble campaign by transporting wreaths to various locations,
including Arlington National Cemetery and Memorial Cemetery, Fremont. The truck drivers who
will transport the wreaths are Army veterans Randy Massey and Alex Fortinberry. Randy will
join the Honor Escort Convoy that will start from Worcester, Maine, and travel through several
states in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions to deliver wreaths to Arlington National
Cemetery. Alex will be part of the peddle run that will transport wreaths to various locations in
Nebraska.

The wreath laying ceremony at Memorial Cemetery, Fremont, will take place on December
16th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will honor the memory of local veterans and provide an
opportunity for the community to pay their respects. Vietnam Army Veteran Reuben Dupsky will
be in attendance, and attendees are welcome to join the ceremony or volunteer to assist with
laying wreaths on veterans’ graves.

Remembering our veterans is an important part of our nation's history and honoring their
memory is essential. We recognize the importance of service and sacrifice to our country and
are grateful for those who have served us well. Laying a wreath on the graves of our fallen
heroes displays respect and recognition for their ultimate sacrifice.

Join FCC, Veteran Randy Massey, Veteran Alex Fortinberry, and Memorial Cemetery in
Fremont, Nebraska, on December 16th, 2023, as they host the Wreaths Across America
campaign. Let us come together to honor the brave men and women who served our country
and pay our respects to those who have passed on. The event is a symbol of unity that
transcends politics, race, and religion. We are honored to be part of it.
