Congratulations to Jason Colvin, one of our drivers! Jason was named the Nebraska June Driver of the Month. The Nebraska Trucking Association and Nebraska State Patrol presented Jason his awards on September 11, 2020.

Normally, these awards would have been presented to Jason at a Nebraska Safety Council meeting but because of the COVID, these meetings have not been taking place.

Jason was chosen from a group of professional drivers nominated by their companies for these awards.  He was chosen based on his exceptional safe driving record and his professionalism in and out of the transportation industry.  Jason is now in the running for Nebraska Driver of the Year.

We are proud of Jason for receiving this award!!

Congratulation to our 2020 Company Driver of the year, Roy Ash!!!

Here is a note from his dispatcher, Tammy:

It was no surprise to me when I was advised that Roy was named the 2020 Company driver of the year, Roy will do any and everything you ask of him to. Not to only serve customers but to help out his fellow drivers, he always wants to do the right thing.  I could simply go on and on about Roy but the bottom line he is just a good human with a GREAT work ethic, we are lucky to have him.

Cheers to a great 2021 with ya Roy!! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!

Levi was working on his schedule for his senior year of high school when he saw the announcement for the diesel academy at Fremont Contract Carriers. He always wanted to pursue a trade career and jumped at the opportunity to enroll in the class and learn. Levi excelled in his classes at the academy, fell in love with the trade,  and moved forward in pursuing his dream by enrolling in the Metropolitan Community College (MCC) Diesel Technology Program in the Fall of 2019. The program requires students to complete two separate internships of 320 hours with an employer. Levi had such a positive experience at the FCC diesel academy he naturally wanted to pursue his internship here, starting in March of 2020. Levi was encouraged by his advisor to pursue scholarship opportunities to assist with the cost of school. He applied for the Nebraska Trucking Foundation Diesel Technology Scholarship and was excited to learn that he was awarded a $1,500 Scholarship this spring. Levi stated, “I  was so happy to receive these funds. I will be using the money to purchase the tools I need for my career. Thank you to Nebraska Trucking for choosing me and also to FCC for allowing me this opportunity.”  Great Job, Levi!
